Damn Moronic Tendencies Part Deux

You know that you are head over heels and in too deep when nothing that a particular other person do is wrong.

Think moronic smile again.

What, then, would your reactions be when disparaging statements are directed towards this other person by, say, colleagues? Senior ones at that?

What if such statements - which silently stings you to no end - keeps coming?

What if there comes a time when you can no longer keep a straight face when the verbal abuse reaches a crescendo that could not be tolerated?

When any response on your part would tell all and literally throw everything  - and I do mean EVERYTHING - out of loop?

Would you put everything on the line?

Especially when you know full well that doing so will not change the fact that you and that person CAN never be together. EVER.

So, will you?

I don't know.

I know enough though of moments where I filtered everything else that doesn't matter out in toto and when time ticks the slowest.

And that scares me in more ways than one.

A scene from Cyrano De Bergerac (1990) - He did. Put everything on the line for her.
